Around the world, there is unequal access to critical skills for climbing leadership, including guiding, mentorship, first aid, crag development, routesetting, environmental protection, and organizational development. This gives certain communities advantages over others in growing their climbing communities safely.
Our Climbing Leadership Fund addresses this inequity by equipping emerging climbing leaders with the skills they need to share climbing with other members of their community and build effective climbing organizations.
With more supported climbing leaders, we will see this sport maximize its potential for positive impact and see the ripple effects of sustainable tourism, social change, and protection of the environment. All of this work is provided at no cost to local climbing communities and leaders, funded by the generous donors of our Climbing Leadership Fund.
